Halley O`Byrne - Mechanical Team Lead

Halley is currently a fourth-year mechanical engineering student at the University of Calgary. He was involved with the Institute for Sustainable Environment, Energy and Economy Students' Association (ISEEESA), where he came on board with the project at its inception alongside the clubs President, Mark Blackwell. Halley mainly served as the Mechanical Lead, working closely with the engineering group and the rest of the remarkable team.

While on internship with the Stantec Buildings Engineering department over the past year, Halley took full advantage of the learning opportunities there. The teams partnership with Stantec helped the ENMAX Solabode design progress with professional feedback and move forward with major deliverables. Halley acted as Stantecs commissioning agent for the home, helping ensure the house would perform as intended. During his internship he also worked on health care, educational, and commercial projects as well as green building design, earning his LEED AP accreditation.

Halley enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking and more recently, international travel. Excited about the times we live in, he is looking forward to a career in sustainable building technologies and renewable resource development.
