Whitney Nordstrom
Whitney is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Applied Interior Design program at Mount Royal University, in Calgary, Alberta. She joined the team in May 2009 when her class was assigned to create the preliminary interior design for the ENMAX SolAbode. Through her class project she was inspired to participate in other aspects of the design. Shortly afterwards she was appointed as the design team leader.
Whitney is now a practicing interior designer, with a focus on residential design.
She strives to continue with residential design, and join a company that focuses on environmental interior design. She also is looking for architects and engineers to collaborate with, to have a well-rounded focus on sustainable design.
Working with the ENMAX SolAbode has brought the importance of collaboration to reality, and has taught her valuable group design skills, and knowledge of local Calgary suppliers.
She plans on adding to her experience with sustainable design by completing LEED certification, and becoming a registered interior designer.
