We envision a design within which people live, work, play and thrive, a creation that empowers and reconnects the home-dwellers to themselves, their families and the environment. We will incorporate the most advanced solar building systems and technologies available, to create a sophisticated yet economical and efficient space for living. Our design will be unique, yet functional and full of delight. Our solution will seamlessly integrate with the environment to provide utility, comfort and visual appeal.
We are eager to collaborate at every level in the community, to achieve something greater than any individual or single group could accomplish by working in isolation. We intend to showcase Alberta on the international stage as the energy capital of Canada in the fullest sense. We will succeed because of our determination to find solutions, our pioneering spirit of teamwork, our understanding of sustainability, and our resolve to make a difference in the world.
With our supporters and partners in industry, government and the broader community, we will realize our shared vision. Together, we will leverage our success, knowledge and insights from the Solar Decathlon to become champions for advancing solar technology and innovative housing solutions in Alberta and beyond. Through designing and building our solar home, we will help create a community that shapes the future of design and sustainable living.
